The Hiswa on the water, which was to take place this year from 2 to 6 September in Batavia Haven Lelystad, will definitely not take place.
Massive events with a national character may only be held again once a vaccine is available. Minister Hugo de Jonge wrote this in a letter to the House of Representatives. ”And no one knows how long that will take. Of course we hope for soon, but a year or more is very real.”
The organisation therefore decided – after consultation with the Municipality of Lelystad – not to allow the Hiswa to continue on the water. Despite the fact that the exhibition organisation already had a corona protocol ready, the uncertainty about the further development of the corona virus now compels us to take the decision to cancel the Hiswa te water 2020.
Arjen Rahusen, exhibition manager, is pleased that a decision has been made. As exhibition manager I would of course have liked to have held a Hiswa te Water 2020 in Lelystad, but given the current circumstances that is not realistic. In order to give clarity to our exhibitors, suppliers and visitors, we have already made this decision’.
The organisation is now preparing for the 2021 Hiswa te Water, which will take place from 1-5 September in Batavia Haven Lelystad.
