LELYSTAD- More than 300 boats with a total length of about 3 kilometres will be on display from 4 to 8 September in the Bataviahaven in Lelystad during the “HISWA in the water” boat show. This means that the range of boats on offer is about 12 percent more than last year’s edition. This boat show is well on its way of becoming the most important Northern European In-Water Boat show.
With still two months to go, preparations for the boat show are in full swing. In consultation with the exhibitors, the organisation has further optimised the layout of the Bataviahaven. By placing the boats stern to the quay, there is better total view. Many exhibitors will present their new model introductions at exclusive floating pavilions. Exhibitors who have chosen a branded pavilion are Isloep, Interboat, Hanze, Aquatec, Prins Watersport, Mercury, Honda, Suzuki, Nimbus, Yamaha, SeaFury, Boot aan Stroom, Lengers, Saffier, Najad and Rapsody.
Golden Boulevard
A new feature this year is the Golden Boulevard, where the larger exclusive yachts of 15 meters and longer will be on display with outstanding examples from brands such as Princess, Fairline, Holterman, Zealander, Contest, Sturier, Prestige, Bluegame, Sacs, Mulder, De Valk, Wajer and Steeler. The average boat length during the 36th HISWA in the water is 9.98 metres. With a length of 25 meters, the Princess 75Y is the longest, a RIB of 2.5 meters the smallest. Of course all segments are represented: from wood, polyester to steel and from sailing and motor yachts, tenders to sloops.
Multihulls
A visible trend is the growing interest in multihulls as catamarans and trimarans. “This is really a growing market,” says sales manager Alex Hoeve. “You can see that more and more individuals are opting for the comfort and good sailing characteristics of these types of yachts, which are very suitable for long trips and holidays. At the HISWA we have several firsts such as the Fountaine Pajot 42 and the Lagoon 46. The DragonFly trimaran is also present with a demonstration how you can turn a trimaran into a monohull.”’
VAAN is a new concept that brings together comfort, sustainable construction, cradle to cradle and sailing performance. The prototype is currently under construction.

Electric boating
Electric boating is a topical subject in water sports the HISWA in water is happy to provide a platform for this, the so-called “Boot aan Stroom Pavilion”, where visitors can raise their questions about electric sailing. All kinds of systems can be seen, for all sorts of motoring. The Silent Boat coordinates the entire programme. And if you think that electric is only for motorboats, then you are wrong. There are also interesting options for sailing boats.
Motorboats
Contemporary and innovative. That’s what’s striking about the motorboats on display in Lelystad. Examples are the Vedette 35, the Korvet 14, the Drentsche Kotter and Boarnstream 1440. It’s no secret that Dutch yacht building guarantees very high quality.

Outboards
Going fast is in and the show provides a varied offer. From fast boats / tenders to aluminium planing motor yachts, of which the Atlantic A500 is a good example. Boats with outboard engines are becoming increasingly popular. At the HISWA all the well-known outboard brands will be present with several world firsts.
Sailboats
The range of sailing yachts is wide and varied. Bavaria, back in business, comes up with some new models, just like Najad. Contest presents the 42 CS and SWAN shows the Swan 48 for the first time. Another first is the Solaris 44. It goes without saying that Bestevaer will be present, as will Rossignante. Viko, Bente, X Yachts, Hanze Dehler, Dufour, Jeanneau, Beneteau and Saffier will come with an almost complete line. Also the Swedish builders Halberg Rassy, Arcona, and SWAN are present. With the Beneteau First 18 and 24, FH750s, sailing enthusiasts will be hard pressed to see everything.
